The international gateway to Eastern Canada, Toronto is Canada’s largest city. Toronto is a large international city on the northwestern shores of Lake Ontario. The city is famous for world-renowned tourist attractions, such as the CN Tower, Hockey Hall of Fame, and many museums. It is also an easy day trip to the Niagara wine region that boasts some of Canada’s best wines, as well as a short day trip to the stunningly beautiful Niagara Falls. For sports fans, there are four major professional league teams to watch. For nature lovers, check out the Toronto Islands in Lake Ontario, or one of the trails or parks in the city. Toronto also has so many different types of cuisine to try and delicious restaurants for food lovers. The city really has something for everyone!
CN Tower is an incredible building with observations areas and restaurants. The observation areas provide incredible views of the city. If you are feeling adventurous, there is the Edge Walk. Here, participants walk along the edge of the tower using ropes and safety harnesses. This tower is a must-see attraction in Toronto.
Ripley’s Aquarium
Learn about underwater life at Toronto’s Ripley Aquarium. There are areas where visitors can interact with ocean animals like small sharks and stingrays. Make sure to visit the renowned jellyfish display, and walk through the underwater tunnel. With over 20,000 ocean creatures, you will be amazed for hours!
Niagara Falls
One of the most famous attractions in Canada, Niagara Falls, is located just south of Toronto. Taking a scenic two-hour train trip from Toronto brings you to this spectacular natural wonder. There is so much to explore: boat cruises, a zip line, guided tours, a tunnel leading to the river’s edge, and a water and light show. However you decide to spend your time there, you will leave with incredible memories.
