Each of IGK's institutional locations are accredited and affiliated with all levels of government, as well as industry bodies designated to oversee schools in the education industry in Canada.

Our accreditation by recognized industry organizations helps protect students’ rights.

Private Training Institutions Branch

The Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) of the Ministry of Advanced Education administers the Private Training Act and associated regulations. IGK's Kelowna Institution (International Gateway Language Academy and College-Kelowna) holds full designation certificate from PTIB. This assures our students that the college delivers education and training programs that meet and exceed high quality educational standards and provides the students with student protection.

Languages Canada

Languages Canada is Canada’s premier language organization representing its two official languages: English and French. Membership is limited to programs from the public and private sectors that meet the rigorous standards of the association. Languages Canada is recognized by the Canadian government and internationally. IGK is accredited by Languages Canada.

Edu Canada

EduCanada is a brand that supports the international education offerings of Canada's provinces and territories. Its brand is the result of the collaboration between the provinces and territories through the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC) and Global Affairs Canada. It enables educational institutions, such as IGK, to address international students in a consistent voice.

TESL Canada

TESL Canada is the Canadian federation of English as a second language teachers and learners. TESL Canada strives to promote excellence in the teaching and learning of English as a second language. IGK holds an interim certificate from TESL Canada which recognizes our TESOL Program as being a Standard One TESL qualification.

EQA (Education Quality Assurance - Province of British Columbia)

Education Quality Assurance (EQA) is a quality assurance designation that identifies BC public and private post-secondary institutions that have met or exceeded provincial government recognized quality assurance standards and offer consumer protection. EQA provides one standard provincial seal that can be recognized globally as a symbol of quality. The EQA seal allows students to easily identify which provincial institutions the government of BC recognizes as having met quality assurance standards and that offer consumer protection to learners.
